Indexing: The Truth About Its Size and Impact

Indexing has become an undeniable force in the investment world.  Indexing's rise didn't happen by accident: its low costs and long-term performance make a strong investment case for the strategy.  As investors continue to adopt indexing, pundits increasingly raise skepticism about the strategy and its impact on the markets.

Perhaps due to its success, some argue that indexing hurts price discovery, stifles competition, and leads to higher volatility.  Vanguard will share insights into these issues and set the record straight about indexing, its size, and impact.
