Designated Fiduciary Roles and How to Select and Monitor Providers

This session will focus on the various types of fiduciaries that interact with employee benefit plans.  From 3(16) Administrators to 3(38) Investment Managers, this session will help define and distinguish the different types of fiduciaries, roles and liabilities, and the kinds of issues that should be addressed in service agreements of providers that agree to serve as fiduciaries.

Ryan C. Tzeng assists public and private sector plan sponsors, third-party administrators, and other pension service providers on a wide range of employee benefits matters, including tax-qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans and service agreements.  He also advises clients in matters involving compliance under 404(c) of ERISA, reporting and disclosure, determination letter applications and voluntary correction program applications, and qualification of state domestic relations orders.
