He was the 2011 recipient of the 401(k) Advisor Leadership Award, a national award sponsored by Morningstar, Inc. and the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He is a Past-President and a past board member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council, and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by that organization in 2008.
