The two most significant events in the history of 401(k) occurred in 2006.  How do these impact the way we are designing and operating 401(k) plan in 2016?  This presentation will focus on (a) the evolving trends in class action litigation, and (b) the impact of default oriented plan design.

Mike is a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) with the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ (AIFA).  He was the 2011 recipient of the 401(k) Advisor Leadership Award, a national award sponsored by Morningstar, Inc. and the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He is a Past-President and a past board member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council, and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by that organization in 2008.
