BENEFITS AND ERISA: WASHINGTON UPDATE
Thursday, November 6, 2014

11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Phoenix Country Club
7th Street and Thomas Road

Present by Ronald J. Triche, Esq., APM, General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs for ASPPA

Developments in Washington continue to have a profound impact on the design and administration of retirement plans. The Tax Reform Act of 2014, sponsored by the chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Dave Camp (R –MI), would dramatically reduce the tax incentives that spur many small business owners to establish and maintain a qualified retirement plan. The President’s latest budget would do much the same.  Learn about these proposals, how ASPPA’s Government Affairs Committee is responding and the impact of the mid-term elections on the process. In addition, hear about the latest DOL and IRS regulatory initiatives, including the recently proposed regulations that if adopted, will mandate that a summary or guide be provided along with the other disclosure documents required by ERISA §408(b)(2).
