For every step the industry has taken to make retirement easierundefinedauto enrollment, auto escalation, default into QDIAundefinedother moves have made the process more complex.  Participants now must not only decide whether to enroll, but whether to enroll on a pre-tax or Roth basis.  Many must choose whether to save on a qualified or non-qualified basis or whether to save for retirement or health care.  And everyone struggles with the balance between long term savings and the immediate demands of debt management, funding children’s education and protecting the security of their families and homes.  Join this discussion to better understand the drivers of this conundrum and explore some of the early strategies to help individuals navigate through their options.
